FAQ's

Our Mushrooms are grown in a specialised facility by a team of Scientists & Mycologists under the strictest laboratory standards. Our USA facility applies special growing methods including custom made growing chambers, strictly defined growth substrates (no sawdust, straw or compost is used) and specially modified growth parameters such as climate control for temperature, light cycle, air quality, and composition to maximize the production of targeted medicinal compounds. We believe our Mushroom products are of the highest quality and standards available in the market today.

Yes all our Medicinal Mushrooms including Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps are USDA Certified Organic and Non GMO.

Our Medicinal Mushroom Powders are one of the most potent available in Australia today with a Beta Glucan content between 20% – 30% and Polysaccharide content of 60% – 70% in each product. Please view the Certificate of Analysis for each product available in the product description via the link provided. We are completely transparent about the quality & potency of our products because we believe they are unmatched by any current supplier in Australia.

An extract is a concentrated form of a particular compound that has been isolated from the natural source. The extraction process typically involves using solvents or alcohol to remove the desired component, leaving behind the other parts of the source material. Extracts can come in various forms, including liquid, powder, or capsule and the end product often contains a high amount of water or alcohol content with only a fraction of the active ingredient.

Our Mushroom Powders are not an extract, they are a “Full Spectrum” whole food because they include the complete fungal material consisting of all the biologically active components including the mycelium, primordia, fruitbodies and most importantly the extracellular compounds produced throughout the entire life cycle of the organism. It is these extracellular compounds that are responsible for the main medicinal properties known from the fungal kingdom. This includes all the antibiotic properties, antiviral properties, antifungal properties and all the other ‘survival’ compounds that the fungus produces to give itself an advantage over the competing bacteria and microbes in the highly competitive environment in which it lives. These secondary metabolites have opened up the frontiers of medicine, with such breakthroughs as antibiotics and cholesterol lowering drugs.

There are companies that lead consumers to believe that only the fruit body of the mushroom offers health-supporting benefits, while dismissing the mycelium and substrate as mere “filler.” Such claims are not only unfounded but also disingenuous in the face of scientific evidence.

It’s a common misconception that mycelium is just a simple root system that’s there to help the fruiting body of the mushroom flourish, but the delicate and intricate filament-like structure of mushroom mycelium is anything but insignificant. It’s actually the cornerstone of the organism’s primary function. Mycelium, the foundational structure of fungal organisms, is an intricate network of highly active cells that serve vital functions, including acting as the organism’s immune response. Unlike its counterparts, spores and fruit bodies, mycelium is the fungi’s primary stage of life and plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of the fruiting body, or “flower”, which blooms seasonally as a response to environmental stimuli. Like a perennial plant, mycelium acts as the “mother” that persists for many years, while the fruiting body is the transient “bloom” that dies off once its reproductive purpose is fulfilled. Recent scientific research has uncovered the immense potential of mushroom mycelium and its health supporting benefits including providing immunological support to human health.

“In my scientific opinion, mushroom products not incorporating mycelium are at a decided disadvantage.” Mycologist Paul Stamets (Fantastic Fungi)
